Came to skate on Christmas with my best friend and we had so much fun! This is huge rink, skates are old and they could have better music playing since you aren’t allowed to use your own headphones or use phone on ice but overall worth the cheap price.
Make sure to buy tickets online before entering. They cost $10 on the weekends and $7 on weekdays. Skate rentals are $6 (you pay in person cash or credit card).
When we first got there we thought the building was closed since there were locks in the front door. But if you walk to the side door there’s an area to enter.
After you enter, you’ll most likely wait on a line to show the online payment you made and they’ll give you a wrist band.
There’s also one time use lockers for $75 cents (so once you open it, you need to pay an additional $75 cents)
There’s a bathroom on the left side and right side you can get your skate rentals. There used to be a food court but due to the pandemic it’s not opened.
Most likely on The Weekends you’ll see a lot of children since they take ice skating lessons.
We saw a lot of people on Saturday. For the price $10 it was pretty cheap (since it’s not hourly based). The ice gets rough pretty fast since there were a lot of people. After every 2 hours they started to clean the ice and make it smooth.
Now that I read other reviews I don't feel so bad to leave a comment about my experience. The management here seems like is the problem the rules don't make any sense the worker that came up to me was nice and seemed like she too knew it made no sense but yeah I'm not coming back here I usually go skating to get some steam out in other rinks in the city definitely came here cause my favorite ones were closed and I'm leaving this place more stressed than I walked in. There are better options if you are planing to come here don't and I don't know how skaters that are in training even get the chance to do any thing on their sessions seems like a mess to me.
Ice was too choppy for me, even though the Zamboni smoothed it out like 5 minutes before I got back onto the ice. The rink wasn’t cold and I think that also allowed the ice to be too soft. The number of people there was ridiculous. The cost of admission and rental was very low. The arena is very convenient to get to. I wouldn’t go back because I’ve been to nicer rinks.
The management is horrible the old lady that’s a so called manager has made multiple kids cry after screaming at the top her lungs in their faces. You can’t do anything here if you are a hockey skater or figure skater. Incredibly stingy rink and if you just want to come here for fun with your friends you can’t have your phone out, no headphones, no bags on the ice, incredibly long lines, mind you they don’t tell you till after you purchase but to add on there is also rude staff, the manager is a satin spawn and the rink is ALWAYS overcrowded so overall don’t waist your money here!!!
First rink I’ve visited that says no using phones while on the ice and no headphones either.
That is ridiculous, I have no clue why we aren’t told before getting on the ice. Regardless the rule makes no sense, I’m responsible for my own safety.
One of the best ice skating place in the city- prop the best. You would have to go out of the city limits for a better place to ice skate. It’s not too crowded when you go early and the prices are reasonable the last time I checked in 2024 is less than $20 per person. They have skate rental as well. It’s probably better if you get your own skates and using the rentals because skates are not expensive, there’s a food vending area where you can get hotdogs hamburgers, and french fries for lunch. Next to the ice rink there is a giant antic swimming pool if you care to swim after ice-skating. Plus you are a couple blocks away from flushing area where there’s lots of amazing food in the area, plus there’s the Tanger mall where you can watch a movie or just relax after ice-skating. Great place to take on a date or just hang with your buddies.
The staff is super nice and friendly! The skates are fairly comfortable and don’t hurt your feet.
